Communities We're Praying For
We hold in our hearts the people of Gaza, Palestine, who faced the devastating impact of Winter Storm Byron on December 11, 2025. Heavy rains and freezing temperatures flooded tent encampments and displacement sites, leaving hundreds of thousands of families without dry shelter, blankets, or adequate warmth as they struggle through an already difficult winter. We pray for comfort, safety, and swift humanitarian relief for all those affected, especially the most vulnerable among them.
A Prayer for Affected Communities
Heavenly Father, we praise You for Your unfailing compassion and unshakeable faithfulness. Your love endures forever, even in our darkest valleys.
We come before You for Palestine, where Winter Storm Byron devastated tent encampments on December 11th. We grieve with families who lost loved ones—precious children and adults—to exposure and flooding. We lift up those injured and traumatized, and those searching for missing loved ones.
We ask Your protection over rescue workers and medical teams working tirelessly. Guide government leaders in coordinating aid. Strengthen communities coming together to help. Provide shelter, warmth, and dry bedding for hundreds of thousands of displaced families.
Jesus, You walked with us in suffering. Holy Spirit, comfort the grieving. As Your Word promises in Isaiah 43:2, when we walk through waters and fires, You are with us. We trust that our God will sustain and restore.
In Jesus-Christ's name we pray. Amen!
You can join others in this prayer right now. As we lift up these communities together, we trust in God's faithfulness and care.
