A school-roof collapse in Peshawar, northwestern Pakistan, killed at least 28 children and one teacher and injured more than 50 people. May those who died be remembered, and may the injured, their families, and all affected communities receive care and strength.
A Prayer for Affected Communities
Heavenly Father, we praise You as our refuge, our strength, and our source of peace. We bring Pakistan before You after the school roof collapse, mourning the 28 children and one teacher who died, and asking mercy for more than 50 injured people, especially those in critical condition. Comfort families, guide rescuers, grant wisdom to leaders, and bring healing and clarity as the cause is investigated. We also pray for Chile, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Yemen, Bermuda, Australia, Tanzania, United States, Puerto Rico, Nigeria, Romania, Indonesia, Spain, United Kingdom, Egypt, Poland, Brazil, Zimbabwe, Tunisia, Iran, Palestine, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, Djibouti, France, Switzerland, Hungary, Canada, Japan, Italy, Syria, Cyprus, Nepal, China, United Arab Emirates, Netherlands, Sudan, Central African Republic, Afghanistan, U.S. allies in the Gulf, Greece, Ukraine, Ethiopia, and Philippines. Holy Spirit, sustain us; through Jesus Christ, our hope remains. In Jesus-Christ's name we pray. Amen!
