Heavy rains triggered a landslide on July 7 in Sulawesi, Indonesia, killing at least 12 people and leaving 48 missing in the Bone Bolango region of Gorontalo province. Approximately 100 gold diggers were working in the remote area when the mudslide occurred, and emergency teams are currently searching for survivors while assessing damage. Emergency response is hampered by ongoing bad weather and difficult terrain, with 164 personnel deployed to aid in the rescue and recovery effort.

Heavenly Father, we praise Your boundless mercy and steadfast love that shelters us. We lift our hearts to You for the people in Indonesia, especially those in Bone Bolango, where heavy rains triggered a landslide on July 7, killing at least 12 and leaving 48 missing among roughly 100 gold diggers. We pray for the families of the lost, the 300 households impacted by flooding in five sub-districts, and the 1,000 residents who evacuated. Strengthen our emergency teams searching for survivors and guide our leaders with healing and peace. As Your Word promises, You are near to the brokenhearted and hold us in Christ. We call upon Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, trusting in hope that never fades. In Jesus-Christ's name we pray. Amen!
