Landslides and related flooding affected parts of Nepal and Chile, including Gorkha District and the Budhi Gandaki River corridor, and San Carlos de Apoquindo in Las Condes, Santiago. In Nepal, the blocked river caused a debris-carrying flash flood; five people remain out of contact, while 95 people, including nine foreign nationals, were rescued.

A Prayer for Affected Communities

Heavenly Father, we praise You as our refuge and steadfast presence in every place of uncertainty. We pray for the people affected in Nepal, especially in Chum Nubri Rural Municipality, and for the five people who remain out of contact. Hold their families in Your peace, guide those searching, and strengthen every responder and leader. We give thanks for the 95 people rescued, including nine foreign nationals, and ask for care, healing, and wisdom amid damage to homes, bridges, and hydropower infrastructure. We also pray for affected people in Chile, their families, responders, and leaders. May Your comfort sustain us, and may the Holy Spirit bring courage and peace. We place our hope in Jesus Christ. In Jesus-Christ's name we pray. Amen!
