Communities We're Praying For
Storm Chandra has brought devastating floods to Ireland, inundating regions including Enniscorthy, Aughrim, Dublin, Wexford, Wicklow, Waterford, and Kilkenny, with rivers bursting banks, homes submerged, structures destroyed, and thousands left without power amid evacuations. Communities face significant disruption to roads, rail like the Belfast-Dublin line, and daily life, compounded by saturated ground and ongoing rainfall risks. May comfort and strength envelop all affected, as we hold them in prayer during this trial.
A Prayer for Affected Communities
Heavenly Father, we praise You for Your boundless goodness and faithfulness, Your sovereign power over every storm, and Your unfailing love that calms raging waters. In Jesus Christ's name, we urgently cry out for Ireland, where Storm Chandra has unleashed devastation: the River Slaney overflowing in Enniscorthy, structures destroyed in Aughrim, and floods swamping Dublin and the Belfast-Dublin rail line. Comfort all directly affected, grieving families who have lost loved ones or search for the missing, the injured in medical care, and scared, traumatized children. Strengthen rescue workers, first responders, medical teams, government leaders coordinating relief, and communities uniting in help. As You promise in Isaiah 43:2, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you." Holy Spirit, bring hope rooted in Christ amid this crisis. In Jesus-Christ's name we pray. Amen!
