A Prayer for Affected Communities
Heavenly Father, we praise You as our refuge and faithful shepherd, present with us in every place. We pray for affected people and families in France, the United States, and Indonesia. In Indonesia, comfort the families of the four who died while firefighting at Mount Bromo, and bring healing to the two people hospitalized with serious burns. Strengthen national park personnel, community fire brigades, volunteers, rescuers, police, and local authorities as they serve. Give leaders wisdom, and grant peace to all who are afraid or grieving. May Your promise to be near the brokenhearted sustain us. Through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit, keep our hope steady in Christ. In Jesus-Christ's name we pray. Amen!
