A Prayer for Affected Communities
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, praising Your faithfulness, Your steadfast love, and Your sovereignty over all creation. We acknowledge Your power and Your tender compassion for Your people.
We lift up to You those across the United States affected by the earthquake near San Ramon, California this morning. We pray for frightened children, for rescue workers and medical teams responding with courage, and for government leaders coordinating relief efforts. Comfort those who are injured and receiving care. Strengthen the communities coming together to support one another.
Though the earth trembles beneath us, You remain our refuge and strength, our ever-present help in times of trouble. As Jesus promised, "Peace I leave with you"—anchor our hearts in that peace, and lead us forward with hope rooted in Christ's unfailing grace.
