Conflict continues to affect people across Yemen, Ukraine, Sudan, Ethiopia, and other regions including Gaza, Lebanon, Somalia, Haiti, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Fighting and insecurity have caused civilian deaths and injuries, damaged homes and essential infrastructure, restricted humanitarian access, and left many communities in need of food, protection, and other life-saving assistance.
A Prayer for Affected Communities
Heavenly Father, we praise You as our refuge, source of mercy, and giver of peace. We pray for Israel, Poland, the State of Palestine, Sudan, Pakistan, Russia, Cameroon, Ukraine, Mali, South Sudan, Djibouti, Cuba, Lebanon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Haiti, Palestine, Burkina Faso, Myanmar, Niger, Somalia, Venezuela, Yemen, Chad, the Palestinian territories, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, and Ethiopia. Bring protection, healing, and peace to civilians and families; open safe roads in Taiz for those beyond assistance, comfort people affected in Kyiv, Kharkiv, and West Kordofan, and strengthen responders and leaders. Provide for more than 202,700 people receiving emergency aid in Ethiopia. By Your Holy Spirit, guide Jesus Christ’s followers in compassion. May Your promise of peace sustain us, and may our hope remain in Christ. In Jesus-Christ's name we pray. Amen!
